I was born in 1955. I went to the Städelschule in Frankfurt from 1981 to 1983 and have worked as a painter and graphic artist in Darmstadt since 1984. I have made a name for myself with critical hyper-realistic pictures at a number of regional and supra-regional exhibitions.
In 1994 I began to experiment with 2D and 3D programs for PCs. Their enormous arrangement possibilities fascinate me. By using them I can transpose any idea, no matter how ephemeral, also into 3D moving pictures. They thus offer ideal possibilities for realizing dreamed ideas in graphics and paintings. A lucid dream, which I first put down in sketches, is at the outset of every artistic idea. Translating these ideas into action is subsequently done on the PC; drawings and moving pictures come to life, key scenes are painted as pictures (airbrush technique, acrylics on foam board).
The internet offers for me the possibility independently of the current cultural activity to present my works. Therefore I seldom exhibit in galleries or in other public rooms. My costs of the presentation, which I usually have at exhibitions in public rooms, I issue in favor one optimal presentation in the internet. I haven't had any financial use through this yet. Although I can be pleased about high numbers of visitors, there are hardly direct reactions to the visit of my homepage. I´m nevertheless confident, if new technologies make other transmission rates possible to reasonable costs, that the internet will be worthwhile in the future. Till there I will try to optimize my web-presentation.
